The ePA is a central service of the Telematics Infrastructure (TI) and enables insured persons to have secure digital access to their health data, such as findings, discharge summaries, medication plans, or lab results.

How the ePA module works

Direct access and structured documentation

The module offers comprehensive functionalities for ePA document management: 

  • Display and management of ePA documents within the familiar software interface: e.g., via iFrame
  • Support for common formats: PDF, images, structured MIOs (Medical Information Objects) such as medication plans
  • Integration of authentication via electronic health card (eGK) and card terminal through the connector
  • Asynchronous processing for rapid access – even with large volumes of data.
